Pray for those who are tempted to lose hope:
Most of us wake up each day and face our problems with the hope that we can overcome them with the help and strength that come from God. Sometimes, however, people can be caught up in events beyond their control, and hope is severely tested. I am thinking, for example, of the families of the passengers on Malaysia Flight 370, or the people of Ukraine whose future is uncertain and threatened, or the survivors of the mudslide in Washington State. United as a human family we need to turn to God in prayer for all whose hope is severely tested. May His grace and mercy be a source of consolation and strength to help them through their trauma and pain.
