WATERBURY (06-23-2009) - Archbishop Henry J. Mansell blessed the new headquarters of the Waterbury office of Catholic Charities after an outdoor ceremony of dedication. Formerly the rectory of Sacred Heart Church, the three-story brick building was transformed into administrative offices, group rooms, counseling rooms, a conference room and a staff kitchen. Rose Alma Senatore, Archdiocesan Director of Catholic Charities, thanked the Archbishop, and all who made the transition possible. She presented Reverend Kevin Gray, pastor of Sacred Heart Church, with a plaque of appreciation and commended him for his generosity in giving up his residence for the sake of Catholic Charities.

A group of children accompanied Archbishop Mansell as he blessed each room of the building and then joyfully led the Archbishop to the cookies and punch table. |
