Review the gospel you wrote in Part 1: Engage. Consider your audience, what you selected from your own memory of Jesus, and what you selected from the twenty Gospel passages.

Use the following questions to understand how your experience reflects the process of how the four Gospels were written. Record your thoughts in your journal. 

1. Why did you select certain events and teachings of Jesus from what you remembered or believed about him?
2. Why did you select the ten Gospel passages?
3. How did you adapt what you remembered and the ten Gospel passages to meet the needs of your audience? 

Now, analyze your gospel’s content – how you presented the story of Jesus – using these questions. Record your thoughts in your journal. 

1. How did you address the following four elements in your gospel?
   • Jesus teaching his disciples how to live the good news
   • reasons for believing in Jesus as Messiah
   • the acceptance and rejection of Jesus
   • the dramatic story of Jesus’ arrest, trial, crucifixion, death, and resurrection
2. Do you think that from the way you have set up your gospel your audience will understand Jesus better and come to believe in Jesus?
