People of Hope Museum

April 15 @ 11:00 am - 7:00 pm

People of Hope

The People of Hope museum will be housed in a tractor-trailer that will travel around the country for several months in 2026. It is an immersive experience that brings to life 42 professionally produced video stories featuring staff and volunteers of Catholic Charities agencies across the country and their meaningful, memorable encounters with families and individuals in need. One of those is Marcus Wilson, a Parent Educator in our Parent Support Services program.

The museum will be open to the public April 14-15 at the Cathedral of St. Joseph in Hartford. It will be in the rear parking lot off Asylum Avenue (use 840 Asylum Avenue for directions).

The museum also includes a recording studio where visitors can share their own stories of hope and service. In addition, visitors can experience an interactive poverty simulator, gain a greater understanding of poverty, and hear recordings of book excerpts about poverty, social isolation, bridgebuilding and community action.
