New Spirit Confirmation Retreats
Join us for one of our Archdiocesan Confirmation retreats!
These dynamic and high energy gatherings allow for our young people to be immersed in the beauty of the Catholic faith while also edifying them to live this faith in their life daily.
Centered on the eucharist and inspired by peer witnesses from other teens, our hope is that retreatants will leave the day having had an authentic encounter with Jesus!
Below are the dates and location for the Fall 2025 New Spirit Confirmation Retreats.
The cost to attend is $25 per participant. All students must sign up with a group and the teen to adult ration must be 5:1 (based on the safe environment requirements in the Archdiocese of Hartford). If you would like to attend, please connect your home parish.
2025 New Spirit Retreat Theme: “Be Not Afraid”
The phase “Be Not Afraid” or some form of the phrase is the most commonly uttered thing in the bible. God was and is always trying to communicate to His people that the fears that you have, the crosses that they bear or the loss that they suffer are not the last word. God has won and He shows us this by the comfort and consolation He gives with this phrase. Arguably there is none more powerful than when Jesus assures His disciples of the incoming advocate, the Holy Spirit; right before His Crucifixion. Jesus says:
The phrase “Be not Afraid” evokes a response. It challenges us to come out of our comfort zone and to trust that following God’s will, encountering Jesus and allowing ourselves to be led by the Holy Spirit will lead us to eternal happiness. At the retreat we will explore this theme with dynamic talks, interactive breakout sessions, sacramental graces and awe-inspiring exhibits.

For Group Leaders
Registration is on a first come first serve basis. If one of the dates sells out there will be a waiting list. Therefore, when you register your group please make sure you indicate enough spots for all of your confirmation candidates and the appropriate number of VIRTUS trained adult volunteers.
Upon completion of your group registration a $10 non-refundable deposit per-person will be due within one week in order to confirm your spots. If the deposit is not received in that time frame, your spots will be released.
The deadline for final payment will be two weeks prior to your retreat date. The deadline to drop spots without having to pay the full participant about is also two weeks prior to your retreat date. After this date, parishes are responsible to pay in full any spot they have purchased regardless if there is a participant or not.
