Deacon Joseph W. LaPierre passed away April 14, 2026 at the age of 94. He was ordained on December 19, 1980 and was assigned to Our Lady of Pompeii in East Haven, where he served until his relocation to North Carolina in 2004. He was predeceased by his wife Mary in 2007. He is survived by his five daughters and their husbands, 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and brother, Roland LaPierre. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday April 21, 2026 at Our Lady of Pompeii Church (St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish), 355 Foxon Rd, East Haven, CT 06513
Visiting hours will be from 8:30am – 10:30am on Tuesday, April 21 at Porto Funeral Hime, 234 Foxon Road, East Haven CT 06513
Burial will follow immediately after the Mass at All Saints Cemetery, 7000 Middletown Avenue, North Haven, CT 06473
