Rest in Peace: Deacon Jacinto Ortiz

Deacon Jacinto Ortiz passed away on September 11, 2026 at the age of 90.  He was ordained on June 13, 1992 and served at St. Rose of Lima Parish in Meriden until he relocated to Florida in 2005, where he continued to serve in ministry until his retirement in 2019.  In addition to his wife, Ramonita, he is survived by his daughters, Edna Costa and her husband, John, of Acushnet, MA and Marilyn Seals and her husband, Yance, of Lawrenceville, GA; his sisters, Eva and Rosa; his grandchildren, Shayla, Jarrel, Erik, Sydney, Yance Jr. and Markus; his great grandchildren, Rae and William V; and several nieces and nephews. His full obituary may be read here: https://www.wallingfordfh.com/obituaries/Deacon-Jacinto-Chinto-Ortiz?obId=49588582

• A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 17 at 10:00am at Most Holy Trinity Church, 84 North Colony Street, Wallingford, CT 06492
• Calling hours will be on Wednesday, September 16 from 4:00 – 7:00pm at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext., Wallingford, CT 06492
• Burial will be private
