In June of 2017, Archbishop Leonard P. Blair decreed the convocation of the third Synod of the Archdiocese of Hartford. Throughout 2018 and 2019, clergy, religious, and laity participated in listening sessions with Archbishop Blair ahead of the culminating Synod meeting held over October 25-27, 2019. The closing Mass and concluding report were delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020 and its lingering impact, eventually being held on August 13, 2021 at the Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford, CT. Throughout the entirety of the Synod and until April of 2026, a separate website, GrowAndGo.com, existed as a resource for the faithful of the Archdiocese of Hartford to find the latest updates and information on the Synod.
