Reverend Francis Thomas Carter, Class of 1986, died on January 31, 2023, at the age of 78. Fr. Carter served at many parishes in the Archdiocese prior to his retirement, most recently at St. Bernadette Parish in New Haven. We extend our deepest sympathy to Fr. Carter’s loved ones at this time of loss and offer them our prayerful support.

• The Most Reverend Leonard P. Blair will be the principal celebrant of the Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, St. Paul VI Parish in Hamden, on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at 11 AM.
• The Mass will be preceded by calling hours in the church beginning at 10 AM.
• Concelebrating priests and vesting deacons are to gather in the church basement before Mass.
