Overview:
The Archdiocese of Hartford seeks a professional, organized Administrative Assistant to support the Auxiliary Bishop. This role ensures effective coordination between the Auxiliary Bishop’s office and various Archdiocesan departments, parishes, schools, and external contacts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage calendar, appointments, and travel for the Auxiliary Bishop
- Coordinate events, meetings, and liturgical celebrations
- Handle correspondence, phone calls, and office records
- Maintain confidential files and information
- Collaborate with Archdiocesan staff and offices
- Prepare meeting agendas and minutes
- Support communication and outreach efforts
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of administrative assistant experience
- Associate degree required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism
- Knowledge of the Catholic Church and its mission
- Ability to occasionally work evenings/weekends and travel locally
