Deacon Eugene Charles Riotte died on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at the age of 93. Deacon Eugene was ordained to the permanent diaconate on June 30, 1978 by the Most Reverend John F. Whealon and served at Most Holy Trinity in Wallingford from his ordination until his retirement in 2020. We extend our deepest sympathy to Deacon Eugene’s loved ones at this time of loss and offer them our prayerful support.

  • A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Most Holy Trinity Church, 84 N Colony Rd., Wallingford on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at 12 p.m.
  • Calling hours will be held on Monday, February 13th at Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext. Wallingford from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
  • The burial will follow the Mass of Christian Burial at St. John Cemetery, 401 Christian Street, Wallingford, CT 06492.
