Deacon George Hajjar passed away on December 5, 2023 at the age of 90. He was ordained on September 29, 1974 by Archbishop Whealon, and served at St. Margaret (Waterbury) and St. Michael (Waterbury) parishes until his retirement. He was predeceased by his wife Dolores in 2002. He is survived by his children Rosemary Cullen, Maureen Hajjar, Dr. George Hajjar, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 10:00am at Blessed Sacrament Church, 82 Robbins Street, Waterbury CT 06708
– Visiting Hours are Wednesday, December 20, 2023 from 4:00 – 7:00pm at Chase Parkway Memorial, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT 06708
– Burial will be immediately following the Mass at Calvary Cemetery, 2324 East Main Street, Waterbury, CT 06705

Deacons attending the Mass are asked to vest in alb and Archdiocesan stole.
