Deacon Andrew Azukaego Moemeka passed away September 6, 2023 at the age of 82. Deacon Andrew was ordained on June 23, 2001, and served at St. Brigid (West Hartford) and St. Mary (Newington) parishes. Deacon Andrew is survived by his wife of 60 years, Helen, as well as 6 children and 10 grandchildren. His full obituary may be read here:

- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 23rd at 12:00pm at the Cathedral of St. Joseph, 140 Farmington Avenue Hartford
- Calling hours will be from 4:00pm – 7:00pm on Friday September 22nd at The Lodge Community Chapel, 130 Deerfield Road, Windsor
- The burial will follow the Mass of Christian Burial at Fairview Cemetery, 200 Whitman Avenue, West Hartford
