Christ the King Parish is hosting a “Signs of Hope Lenten Service” at 3 p.m., March 9, at Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect St., Wethersfield.

The service, to be led by the Rev. Nicholas Melo, is presented in honor of Pope Francis’ Jubilee Year of Hope. The pope has designated the 2025 Holy Year as a time to renew ourselves as “Pilgrims of Hope.” Nancy Kiely, a parishioner with a Master’s in moral theology, created the service. It includes prayers tied to the eight pillars of the Jubilee Year, music performed by the church choir, and personal stories from eight pilgrims of hope who will discuss peace, enthusiasm for life, poverty, illness, incarceration, youth, migration, and the elderly. The service will be immediately followed by fellowship in Father Crawford Hall.
