Position Overview:

We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Early Childhood Educator to lead our Four-Year-Old Full-Day Preschool Program. The educator will create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and experiences, foster a safe and inclusive classroom, and communicate effectively with families and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement daily lesson plans that address spiritual, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth.
  • Use diverse instructional techniques such as modeling, observing, questioning, demonstrating, and reinforcing.
  • Encourage children to develop self-help skills and independence.
  • Promote diversity and inclusion through classroom activities and interpersonal interactions.
  • Maintain and assess individual student portfolios with formal evaluations and conferences (fall and spring).
  • Adapt curriculum to meet individual learning needs and initiate referrals when necessary.
  • Promote positive behavior through redirection, positive reinforcement, and adherence to the school’s behavioral policies.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children, and follow health and COVID-19 protocols.
  • Maintain positive communication with families through newsletters, daily updates, and as-needed outreach.
  • Support program development and adhere to licensing and organizational requirements.
  • Attend regular staff meetings and participate in annual reviews and professional development.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding children, families, and staff.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or CDA in Early Childhood Education required
  • Minimum of 5 years classroom experience in early childhood education
  • Certified in CPR and First Aid
  • Strong understanding of early childhood developmental stages
  • Demonstrated ability to create engaging, age-appropriate curriculum
  • Commitment to fostering a nurturing, inclusive, and faith-based environment
