Reverend John Louis Lavorgna, Class of 2006, died Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at the age of 48. Fr. Lavorgna served in many assignments during his priestly ministry, most recently at Mary, Mother of the Church Parish in Waterbury, Assumption Parish in Woodbridge, and St. Bridget of Sweden Parish in Cheshire. We extend our deepest sympathy to Fr. Lavorgna’s loved ones at this time of loss and offer them our prayerful support.

• The Wake will be held on Monday, February 13, 2023, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, St. Paul VI Parish in Hamden. Calling hours from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. will be open to the public.
• The Most Reverend Leonard P. Blair will be the principal celebrant of the Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, St. Paul VI Parish in Hamden on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at 11 a.m.
• The entombment will follow the Mass of Christian Burial at the Mausoleum of All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
• For those who cannot attend in person, the funeral Mass will be live-streamed at hamdencatholic.org.
