Reverend Robert Gerard Heffernan, Class of 1963, died Thursday, May 26, 2022. Fr. Heffernan served at many parishes in the Archdiocese prior to his retirement, most recently as the pastor of St. Stephen in Hamden. We extend our deepest sympathy to Fr. Heffernan’s loved ones at this time of loss and offer them our prayerful support.

• A Wake will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, St. Paul VI Parish in Hamden, on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.
• The Most Reverend Leonard P. Blair will be the principal celebrant of the Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, St. Paul VI Parish in Hamden on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at 11 am.
• Concelebrating priests and vesting deacons are to gather in the lower church building before Mass. A reception after the Mass will be held in the same location.
• The burial will take place at 1:30 pm at Mount Saint Peter Cemetery in Derby.
