The Reverend George P. Burnett, Class of 1961, died Tuesday, March 22, 2016. We extend our deep sympathy to Father Burnett’s family, former parishioners and friends at this time of sorrow and offer them our prayerful support.
- A Wake will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2016, from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., at Assumption Church, 61 North Cliff Street, Ansonia.
- A Parish Mass will be celebrated at Assumption Church, following the wake on Thursday, March 31, 2016, at 7:00 p.m.
- The Most Reverend Leonard P. Blair will be the principal celebrant at the Mass of Christian Burial at Assumption Church, on Friday, April 1, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Saint Mary Cemetery, Avon, on Saturday, April 2, 2016, at the convenience of the family.
