Deacon Daniel Sloan passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 1 2024 at the age of 81. Deacon Sloan was ordained on June 10, 1995 by Archbishop Daniel A. Cronin, and served at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel parish in Waterbury. He also worked for the CT Department of Corrections as a prison chaplain. He relocated to Pennsylvania with his family in the year 2000 where he continued his diaconal ministry both in parishes and prison. Deacon Sloan is survived by his wife, Linda Metts Sloan; daughters, Meghan Sloan and spouse, Brian Hill; Kerry Sloan and spouse, Dan Yager; and Erin Sloan and spouse, A.M.   • A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday February 8 in St. James Catholic Church, 505 Woodcrest Ave, Lititz PA;
  • Guests will be received before the Mass beginning at 10:30 a.m;
  • Interment will immediately follow in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, 60 Indiantown Gap Rd, Annville, PA 17003
