Deacon Joseph J. Cooke, ordained a deacon in 1976, died on Wednesday, February 5, 2020. Please keep his wife Louise, his seven daughters, and all of his family in your prayers.
- A Wake will be held at Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Avenue, Windsor, on Monday, February 10, 2020, from 4:00-7:00 PM.
- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Gabriel Church (of Saint Damien of Molokai Parish), 379 Broad Street, Windsor, on Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at 10:00 AM. Burial with military honors will follow in Windsor Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Windsor.
Deacon Joseph J. Cooke was ordained at the Cathedral of Saint Joseph in Hartford by the Most Rev. John F. Whealon on June 27, 1976. Assigned to Saint Gabriel Church in Windsor, he remained there in service to the parish community until his retirement in 2001. Deacon Cooke’s obituary can be found here.
