Holy Infant Church – Orange, CT

The Director of Religious Education will administer a parish wide catechetical program overseeing the Faith Formation of children numbering over 600, with their families.  The parish comprises 2,200 families on the Church census.

Duties will include, but not be limited to; the designing of catechetical programs which support lifelong learning and conform to the National Catechetical Directory (NCD), Archdiocesan guidelines, parish needs and contemporary culture; develop a coordinated approach toward total parish religious education, i.e., faith development through catechesis on all levels; and, direct the implementation and on-going management of the total parish religious education program.

Qualified candidates must be extremely knowledgeable with technology and have the ability to utilize Microsoft Office, and have strong organizational and leadership skills.

Candidates must have the social skills necessary to collaborate and recruit catechists and communicate the teachings of the Church and have an understanding and pastoral approach when working with children and parents.  The position will require creativity and self-motivation.  This is a part-time position working approximately 20 hours per week.

Candidates should have a Master’s Degree in Theology/Education and/or teaching/administrative experience in faith formation or in a Catholic School.  Competitive  salary commensurate with education and experience.
