About the Role

The Educational Technology Specialist & School Support position is a newly created role designed to elevate technology integration across elementary and secondary Catholic schools within the Archdiocese. This individual will serve as a bridge between instructional goals and innovative educational tools, helping faculty and students meaningfully incorporate technology into teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Robotics & Makerspace Initiatives
    Develop, implement, and manage dynamic robotics and makerspace programs that encourage creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on learning.
  • Support Classroom Tech Integration
    Guide teachers and administrators in leveraging classroom technologies to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement.
  • Software & App Integration
    Research, evaluate, and assist in deploying educational software and applications to meet pedagogical goals.
  • Professional Development Design
    Create and deliver tech-focused training for teachers and students, aimed at instructional improvement and tech fluency.
  • School & Department Support
    Collaborate with academic and student-service departments to align technology with broader school initiatives and learning goals.
  • Other Responsibilities Include:
    • Supporting teacher selection of digital resources
    • Attending PD events, new teacher orientations, and principal meetings
    • Staying up to date on edtech trends and best practices
    • Collaborating with IT and data teams

Qualifications

Education:

  • Master’s degree in Educational Technology or related field required.

Experience:

  • 3–5 years in academic or educational technology
  • Experience with one-to-one programs and devices
  • Experience with robotics and Makerspace environments preferred
  • Prior classroom teaching experience preferred

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong instructional design and professional development capabilities
  • Expertise in digital tools including Chromebooks, iPads, Apple platforms, Google Workspace, and learning management systems
  • Multimedia creation and video editing for curricular use
  • Effective communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a mission-driven environment
