Dan Ferrari is a Catholic singer/songwriter and worship leader from New Jersey whose music and live performances never fail to uplift hearts and inspire souls. Although Dan began as a mainstream artist striving for success in the Pop music world, he experienced a profound "re-conversion" in his faith life around 2010 which took his writing and music career on a completely different path. Dan's freshly-ignited faith journey brought out his experience of God's love and mercy in his songwriting. Dan began to use his musical gifts for God's glory, discovering a divine calling to use his music as a bridge to bring others deeper into relationship with the Lord. “I’m the only singer/songwriter who can say I shared the stage with Lady Gaga and played for the Holy Father, Pope Francis!” says Ferrari. Dan continues to write, perform, lead worship events and release albums, the latest of which is his 2019 summer release entitled “Strengthen.” “Strengthen” includes powerful songs such as “God in My Corner” that speak of God’s love, companionship and incredible power to work in our lives. Along Dan’s songwriting journey, his songs have been featured in TV shows such as The Young & the Restless, Cobra Kai, the Hills, Love & Hip-Hop, MTV True Life and the Jersey Shore.  Dan is in the company of Joan Osbourne and the iconic John Legend, fellow songwriters who have also won the Abe Olman Songwriting Scholarship from the Songwriters Hall of Fame. In addition to creating songs for his own albums and repertoire, Dan has penned songs for other artists including, "Never Not Want You" for Austrian Idol Winner Oliver Wimmer whose debut album reached top 20 in Germany. The song was also featured in "Play the Game," a feature film starring Andy Griffith, Marla Sokoloff and Doris Roberts. Dan has also written for international Latin star Frankie Negron, rising R&B sensation Tatiana Owens, and up-and-coming Rock phenom Rachel Lorin. Dan’s songs can also be heard in commercials including Principal Financial Group and the tutoring chain Mathnasium. Dan’s song “Prayers to Our Lady,” a beautiful tribute to the Blessed Mother from his 2017 release “Unrepeatable,” has touched many hearts and has been played at many weddings as couples offer flowers to Mary. Today, Dan travels to various churches, youth/young adult ministries and schools leading worship, sharing his musical gifts and witnessing to his faith in an effort to spread the Gospel and the joy of knowing Christ. Dan has been known to fill listeners with a sense of God’s presence and bring souls closer to healing and renewal.  For more information on Dan Ferrari and his music, go to facebook.com/danferrarimusic, Spotify, iTunes, and www.danferrarimusic.com Opening for Ferrari at the September 28 concert is Owen Luke, a local talent from Marlborough who has just completed an East Coast tour promoting his EP “Tiny Casualties” and other new song releases including “Reason I Fall.” “The love and support has never felt more refreshing,” explains a grateful Owen Luke. Luke’s sense of musicality and blend of catchy melodies and instrumentation drives the passion behind his enjoyable music. When he’s not writing songs or entertaining his growing fan base, he is studying Actuarial Science at Bryant University.   For more information on Owen Luke and his music, go to facebook.com/owen-luke, Spotify, iTunes and OwenLukeMusic on Instagram. St. John Fisher Church is located at 30 Jones Hollow Road in Marlborough. More information available at www.stjfchurch.org. ###
