The purpose of the Office for Religious is to maintain coordination between the Archbishop of Hartford and members of Religious Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life.

What the Office Does
The Delegate for Religious acts as an official representative of the Archbishop in matters regarding Consecrated Life. In this capacity, the Delegate for Religious serves as the Archbishop’s liaison and offers pastoral concern, provides appropriate resources, and facilitates collaborative structures for leaders and members of the various forms of Consecrated Life to enhance their vocation within the Church. The ministry of the Delegate for Religious is primarily one of service: service to the Archbishop when acting as his representative; service to members of Consecrated Life in areas essential to their growth; service to the archdiocese by supporting, in whatever way possible, the vocation to Consecrated Life.

This then is the consecrated life:
praise which gives joy to God’s people, prophetic vision that reveals what counts.
When it is like this, then it flowers and becomes a summons for all of us to counter mediocrity . . .
Pope Francis, Feb 2, 2019
