The Department of Property and Assets moves at the pace and direction of the Archdiocese. For our real estate advisory services, this means collaborating with a variety of stakeholders to drive towards the end goal of closing sales. From 2017 – 2020, the DPA facilitated the sale of 60+ buildings.

Vibrant parishes do not subscribe to a mission stating, “retain our buildings at great cost without using the property for any parish activities.” Rather, parishes with strong Pastoral Planning discover that their property serves the spiritual and physical needs of the faith community. The more efficiently and timely that the DPA facilitates a sale, the sooner a parish can meet its financial responsibilities and turn towards its strategic plan.

Expressed simply:

Regardless of the volume of sales, we continually review our process and solicit feedback.  Our emphasis remains on refining best practices, coaching pastors and parish communities in how to prepare for marketing a property, and developing relationships within the real estate development business community.
