Missionary Discipleship: About

As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace.

1 Peter 4:10

Welcome to the Office of Missionary Discipleship

The Office of Missionary Discipleship exists to strengthen and enrich the pastoral life of the Archdiocese by forming intentional disciples equipped to live and share the mission of the Catholic Church.

We provide comprehensive courses, and sessions through The New England Catholic Biblical School, and The Apostolate for Lay Ministry Support programs, supporting leadership development for the lay faithful who desire deeper participation in the life of the Church.

Our Mission in Action

The Office oversees:

Together, these initiatives offer educational and formative opportunities that empower lay men and women to grow in faith, lead with confidence, and serve with authenticity.

Forming Missionary Leaders

Recognizing that mission is fundamental to the lay vocation, we provide:

  • 4 yr Certificate programs
  • Mentoring and spiritual guidance
  • Retreat experiences
  • Practical missionary resources

Our goal is to recruit, prepare, and support lay leaders who will foster vibrant parish life and carry the Gospel into their families, workplaces, and communities—within the Archdiocese and beyond.
