Intercessions for the First Sunday of Advent – November 30, 2025
That the Church may watch faithfully for the coming of Christ, proclaiming God’s mercy and living as witnesses to the hope only God can provide. We pray to the Lord.
That the light of Advent may guide national, state, and local leaders to seek peace, justice, and the common good. We pray to the Lord.
That all those who struggle with darkness, despair, or thoughts of suicide may experience the warmth of Christ’s light through the care and compassion of others. We pray to the Lord.
That our parish community may prepare the way of the Lord through fervent prayer, reconciliation, and acts of love that bring hope to others. We pray to the Lord.
That the promise of Emmanuel – God with us – will bring healing, comfort, and renewed strength to the sick, the lonely, and the sorrowful. We pray to the Lord.
That all who have died, including those who longed for God’s mercy, may now share in the everlasting light of Christ. We pray to the Lord.
